51 acre farm for sale in the Southern Highland of Tanzania in a little town called Njombe. The farm is located about 25 minutes drive from Njombe town. I bought this farm as a hobby farm and planted pine trees on it about 12 years ago. I harvested the pine last year (prematurely) because I wanted to plant the farm with avocados. Njombe and the surrounding area has become one of the main avocado production areas of Tanzania. This is due to the ideal growing climate and the fact that the avocados grown in the southern highlands produce when there is little worldwide supply, and hit the market when prices are high. In the meantime I have just bought a new business which has taken my time and resources.

The farm is located 25 minutes drive from Njombe Town. The town council is currently upgrading the road and building a bridge that will make it easier to get to the farm. The old road to the farm was quite rough and took around 45 minutes.
As a crow flys, the farm is 10 kms from town.
This part of the southern highlands is made up of rolling hills and the farm is located on a hill.

I bought this as a hobby farm eleven years ago. I was planning to build a small cottage on the farm and plant avocados. I know 50 acres of avocados isn’t a huge area but it can provide a modest income and expansion nearby is possible. I was planning to spend 4 or 5 months a year on the farm during harvest time. In the meantime, I have bought another business and I now have to focus on rebuilding this business. For this reason I have decided to sell this farm. I currently live in northern Tanzania which is over 1,000 kms away.
