The most baffling part of buying or selling a business is the due diligence. What is due diligence, really?
Peter Seymour joins us for Businesses For Sale Live to explain exactly that.
He’s the Head of Hotel & Leisure for Graham + Sibbald, and he specialises in the sale and acquisition of Licensed Trade and Leisure properties and businesses.
Peter will discuss what due diligence is carried out by an RICS Registered Valuer when carrying out a valuation for secured lending, as well as what additional due diligence should be carried out by a purchaser and their advisors, and why they should ask for this.
He’ll also go into detail about information that buyers should/could rely on and how to obtain this, plus tips on how to verify that the information is accurate.
Peter is a Chartered Surveyor with over 13 years’ experience in the Hotel and Leisure sector. He merged his independent practice with Graham + Sibbald in 2017, accepting the challenge of growing the Hotel + Leisure Agency Department within one of Scotland’s leading Chartered Firms.
He’s been involved with disposals and acquisitions of going concerns and closed premises, valuations, rent reviews, landlord and tenant negotiations, and property management for a range of clients.
