Chetwynd British Columbia is the epicenter of mining, oil and gas and the pipeline economy for Northeastern B.C. and has also become a staging area for the Site-C expansion project of the WAC Bennet dam. located on the tourist route to Alaska, summer traffic means June through August are high-occupancy months for the motel.

We are currently in the first year of what is projected to be a 5 year bull-run in the region. Pipeline, gas, oil and chemical production and railway maintenance and operation are the year-round drivers of the economy.

There is potential for construction of an outdoor patio seating 20, an amenity which would be unique to Chetwynd.

The RV park can be expanded to at least 20 pads.

The Pine Inn and Riverhouse restaurant are a unique motel/restaurant combination in Chetwynd.

Well appointed and inviting rooms have helped us to establish a loyal clientelle.

The Riverhouse Restaurant is the premier dining establishment in Chetwynd. There are only 3 other competitors in town, but the Riverhouse has proven itself to have the best mix of food quality, service and atmosphere.

As a result of COVID, the other 3 restaurants in town have closed voluntarily, or been forced to close over the course of the pandemic. The Riverhouse has manged to keep closures to a minimum and has reaped the benefit of being the only full service facility in town for much of 2020.

Much of our staff has been with us for five years or more, and they recognize the tremendous earning potential available to them in the Riverhouse, and as a result they are reliable and dedicated to their positions with the majority being excellent employees.
