Approximately 4 acres of 12 acres is currently under development. Expansion of premises is feasible and the surrounding area, including Fundy National Park and the Fundy Trail and the Village of Alma are poised to expand its services to tourists. Hopewell Rocks and Fundy Park have both seen an impressive upswing in visitors in the past 3 years. The local tourist association has undertaken a successful and ongoing campaign to increase average length of stay for visitors.
The development of the Fundy Trail Parkway, the naming of the area as a Unesco Biosphere reserve and the recent 'New Seven Wonders" contest in which the Bay of Fundy was a finalist have brought a new wave of popularity to this area. The Fundy coast is developing as a popular destination for both Canadian and International Visitors. At present roofed and camper accommodation in the area is at a premium and that is expected to increase when the Fundy Trail Parkway is completed in 2021.
