The properties and cattery are located in Montemboeuf in the beautiful Charente region of France.
This is a tiny hamlet 15 minutes walk from the quiet village of Montemboeuf. Here you will find 2 small bars, a Spar store, boulangerie, charcuterie, post office and bank. It is only 15 minutes drive from the pretty town of La Rochfaucauld with its imposing chateau and full range of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The nearby large leisure lake at Lavaud provides scenic picnic sites, sandy beaches, swimming, sailing and many other nautical and outdoor activities, along with a fantastic adventure park for the children. It is also here that the keen mountain bikers will find some well established routes around the lakes and surrounding countryside. There are tracks for all levels, from short 6km routes through to over 50km routes. For keen golfers there is a superb golf club nearby at Golf de la Preze which offers an 18 hole championship course, an 18 hole pitch and putt course, a driving range and practice facilities plus full equipment rental options if you don't want to bring all your gear with you, all just 10 minutes away near Rouzede. Angouleme is around 25 minutes by car with it's bars, restaurants and comprehensive shopping facilities.The city of Limoges with airport is 55 minutes by car.

We open the gite business from May to October annually. This season could be extended with long term lets if required.
The cattery business is operated all year round and since taking over the business we have extended the building by adding three extra pens due to demand. It could be extended further if wanted.
The gite business continues to produce a healthy income as both properties are large and appeal to large families or groups of friends. The appeal is that large groups can hire a private holiday property for a fraction of the price of a package holiday and enjoy privacy and their own grounds and pool. There are not many large gites in the area offering 4 to 5 bedrooms with pool.
The cattery business is established, thriving and continues to grow due to recommendations. Some clients travel over 1 - 2 hours to bring their cats to us which is indeed a fabulous endorsement of our services.

The cattery is open all year round opening for 1.5 hours in the morning and again in the evening. The gites are open May to October with arrival/departure day being Saturdays only.
