East Riding care provider demonstrates the power of good care

17 April 2015

Good home care and support can make profound differences to peoples’ lives and this was never more clearly demonstrated recently than with a long time client of home care provider, Caremark (East Riding).

David Beech, a man with a learning disability receives ‘floating support’ from Caremark (East Riding) which includes helping him with his budgeting and shopping as well as cleaning his home.  The support provided enables Mr Beech to live independently, something he is enjoying for the first time in his life.

Mr Beech who has suffered two strokes, several nervous breakdowns and has other debilitating health problems said: “Caremark have been absolutely marvelous and I can honestly say that without their support I think I wouldn't be living in my own home, but would probably be in a mental health hospital.

“I have been in and out of care all my life and I have been told many times that I would never be able to live in my own home, but thanks to Caremark I am proving everybody wrong.”

The Yorkshire care provider deliver care and support to people across a large area of the East Riding of Yorkshire, enabling them to continue living safely and independently at home.

The company has grown at an impressive pace since it opened its doors some 6 years ago and has now moved into larger premises.  The new offices  have a dedicated training centre for training all staff.

Mr Beech was invited to join Hull and Hessle MP Alan Johnson in officially opening the new offices in Priory Court, Saxon Way, Hessle, near Hull.

Commenting on the day Mr Beech said: “They have made such a difference to my life and I was delighted to be able to open their new office.”
