Matthew Bayliss and Robert Thompson are among the new Affiliates who have recently joined the Auditel Cost Management Franchise. They both found Auditel through the British and International Franchise Exhibition at Olympia this year.
London-based Matthew has had a variety of commercial roles. Most recently, he ran his own online sales and marketing company. He recalls: “I joined Auditel because I was keen to launch my own business. I looked around at firms that were for sale and independent-start-ups and I considered franchising. After analysing the market, the one opportunity that appealed to me and matched my background was the Auditel Franchise - good product, good support and professional!”
Robert lives in Northern Ireland and has a banking background. He spent thirty-four years in various senior roles with Danske Bank. He said he joined Auditel because during his long experience, he had noticed how his customers struggled with their cash flow and costs. “With Auditel, I can now use my experience and competence helping clients to be successful in their aim to achieve good profits.” Asked about the training, Robert replied: “I felt that it was very, very useful. It was an excellent programme. In particular, I liked being able to network with the other new Affiliates who were on the course.”
Matt Sidwell, Auditel’s Network Development Director, reports: “A recent survey found that an increasing number of people are looking to set up their own business. In fact, between 2011-2012, more than 200,000 took that route which increased self-employment to 14% of the total working population. Starting a business from scratch, however, is not for the fainthearted. Statistics say that one in three new businesses fail within the first three years. This is why many now choose the tried-and-tested franchise route, where according to the latest NatWest/British Franchise Association (bfa) Survey, over 90% of franchisees are profitable. Our free Discovery Seminars are ideal for those management professionals seeking to learn more about franchising and our own white-collar opportunity. We shall be delighted to meet you!”
