Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica is located on the outskirts of Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna. This area is known for all the adventure Arenal has to offer. Our location and accessibility offer the perfect blend of convenience and rainforest serenity. Our hotel is ideally located and just a 30-minute drive to La Fortuna at the base of Arenal Volcano. Our guests enjoy this area for the cultural and more intimate Costa Rica experience. We see a ton of wildlife on our property, which our guests truly enjoy. Our high season runs from December 15th thru the end of August. We utilize the slow season for maintenance on the property and tree houses. We still stay pretty busy with guests during these couple of months.
Our meticulously designed 7 tree houses are all well-appointed with A/C, full bathrooms, safes, refrigerators, fans, rocking chairs and more. Each one is private and separated by 197 feet (60 meters) of tropical rainforest. Breakfast is included for our clients. We can accommodate 4 to 7 guests per tree house. The base rate is for double occupancy, and we charge $20 per night for each additional guest. A full breakfast is included each morning. Each tree house has parking.
The house on the property has 2 bedrooms and the office. The large bedroom is a loft with plenty of storage and room to make your own comfortable space. There is 1.5 bathrooms in the house and a 1\/2 bath outside.
We serve breakfast in our Rancho where there is a full kitchen and 1/2 bath. We also have games up there for everyone and it is a great space for large groups.
We have a full-time staff of nine. Four in housekeeping who also make and serve breakfast. 2 on the grounds, 2 in the office and 1 security at night. He also takes our guests on night hikes which is a big deal for our clients. With the staff we have, I am able to leave and not worry about a thing while I travel.

Our occupancy consists of approximately 70% US Canadian visitors, the remaining 30% are from all over the world. We get many repeat customers with stays between 2 to 4 nights being the most common. We attract adventurist clients who want to experience wildlife, have fun and spend money on tours. We put full itineraries together for clients. This is a great and steady source of additional income and there is room to expand this service.
We have really great relationships with tour rental car companies, private transport and taxies. We are 2 hours from SJO and 4 hours from the Liberia airport. Our staff works hard to make sure our clients trip is as seamless as possible. We make a commission for each transport and tour we set up.

This hotel was acquired 16.5 years ago with three treehouses with the intention of flipping it. After a couple of years, we were having fun and turning away 5-10 reservations for everyone we took. We started building in 2009 and finished the four large tree houses in 2013. The property has 11 acres of rainforest jungle. There is room to build more treehouses.
Tree Houses is located 5-min from the small town of Santa Clara. We have a variety of supermarkets, restaurants, hardware stores, elementary school, high school and a university. The restaurants really enjoy and take good care of our guests.
Ciudad Quesada is 20 minutes from Tree Houses. This is a large city for Costa Rica where they have banks, government offices, a large variety of stores, farmer markets, salons and tons of restaurants. Costa Rica has a well-regarded healthcare (including dental) system, with both public and private options available. The cost is incredibly cheap. Ciudad Quesada has both private and public hospitals just 20 minutes from the hotel.
There are several Bilingual Schools for all ages within 30 minutes of Tree Houses.
