What are the costs of advertising your business?
The fee that you pay to advertise your business will be dependent on the country that you are in and the package that you choose. Should you decide to advertise for a longer period of time, you will pay less per month for listing your business with us.
You can pay an additional fee in order to have us send out an email campaign to potential buyers about your business or have our professional team write your listing for you.
Can I remain anonymous when selling?
Selling a business can be a sensitive process, therefore, BusinessesForSale.com allows you to remain anonymous when advertising on our site.
You will not be required to give specific information about your business listed on our site. Details such as the exact location or name of the business don’t need to appear on the listing.
For your privacy, you will also not need to give contact details like your email address or telephone number. Any messages from buyers will be delivered to you through BusinessesForSale.com email system.
How do buyers make contact with me?
Buyers send an email directly to you by clicking the 'Contact Seller' button on your listing. All messages from buyers are delivered to you through the BusinessesForSale.com email system. You are able to screen all messages before replying.
Please note, when advertising on the free trial, some of the buyer’s contact details will be removed.
How do I monitor / improve my listing?
As soon as your business goes live on the site you can sign in and make changes to your listing.
Please note: when you submit a listing for the first time and when you submit a change, it may take up to one working day for our customer services team to process.
At any time during your advertising period you can sign in and monitor all enquiries made on your listing.
How do I renew my listing?
Two weeks before the expiry date of your advertising period, you will be offered the opportunity to renew your listing. However, you can sign into your account any time after your expiry date and make your business listing live again.
Sign in to your account to make changes or renew your listing.
How do I register with BusinessesForSale.com?
If you want to advertise your business, head to our sell a business page and follow the steps set out. You should find the package that suits your needs and there are details of the process from start to finish.
How do I change or update my account details?
You can make changes to your listing at any time. Sign in and monitor all enquiries made on your listing anytime during your advertising period by signing into your account.
Please note that it may take up to one working day for your changes to appear on your account.
What are membership/upgrade packages available?
We have two options available to sellers that are looking to upgrade their membership:
- Professional Prospectus: Our business sales copy team will rewrite your listing to a professional prospectus standard.
- Email Campaign: Target buyers proactively with an email campaign promoting your business.
How do I create multiple listings?
Private Sellers can do so from their account by using the "Create New listing" button. From there, select the country where the business is located. Each listing must be uploaded individually and will be linked to the country in which it is based.
Brokers can add the listings manually or via a data feed upload.
Can I create duplicate listings on different countries?
Currently, this is not offered. We advise Private Seller against having multiple listings in different countries for the same business. Buyers looking for businesses in certain countries will search for them in those specific countries not in the country they are based.
E.g.: a buyer based in France interested to buy a business in USA will search for it on the USA page, not the France page.
Will my listing appear in Google?
Yes, your listing will appear in Google. Your listing will, however, have an increased chance of gaining visibility the more detail you include about your business. Content-rich listings do much better in search engines than listings with little or no content in them.
