Training / Education


FASTSIGNS® gives you the knowledge and tools you need to help you succeed in the sign business, beginning with a comprehensive four-week training program and additional on-site support in your own store. FASTSIGNS training resources include:

Business Planning
Our specialists work with you to develop your business plan, cash flow/operating budget and advertising strategies.

Operations Management
We provide proven systems for managing workflow, staffing, inventory control and other important store activities.

Financial Management
We show you how to analyze, understand and improve your store’s financial performance.

Personnel Management
Principles proven throughout the FASTSIGNS network will help you identify, train, motivate and compensate the best possible employees. Our Manpower Planning Guide takes the guesswork out of staffing your business as it grows.

Marketing

Through our advanced marketing programs and strategies, you will learn how to make effective use of proven sales and marketing tools.

Point-Of-Sale
Our powerful P.O.S. computer system simplifies the management of direct target marketing, receivables and other operational activities.

Sign Design
You’ll learn the fundamentals of effective sign design and how various sign features translate into benefits for your customers.

Production Techniques
You’ll learn about various sign materials, sign design software and other production methods.

Subcontracting
Although you will produce most of the signs you sell in your own store, FASTSIGNS teaches you how to subcontract screen printing, engraving, dimensional letters and other products and services to expand your client offerings and sales potential.

Ongoing Training
 

FASTSIGNS continues your education with regional workshops, an annual convention, on-line learning, field trainings and other training programs. Topics include General Management, Full Color Graphics, Customer Service, Sales Management and more.

Franchisee Profiles
     
Let’s face it. Choosing the right business can be challenging at best. At FASTSIGNS we have gone to great lengths to help us both identify whether FASTSIGNS is the right business for you. As you continue your evaluation of FASTSIGNS, you’ll be asked to complete a Personality Profile and Sales Aptitude Test, as well as engage in discussions with our senior management team as to your background, goals and aspirations, and reasons for choosing a franchise. All of this is designed to ensure a long and mutually beneficial partnership between franchisor and franchisee.

 

Investments & Fees
     
The investment for a new FASTSIGNS will vary primarily due to the size of your store and its location. Financing is available through third party lenders. FASTSIGNS recommends that you have a minimum net worth of $250,000, of which at least $75,000 is in liquid assets.
