GENERAL INFORMATION
This is an approximate 10-acre tract which is offered for purchase, and it is truly an excellent location. The property is at the northeast corner of Interstate 20 and Honda Drive at exit #165. This gives it ample road frontage on the exit road and the Interstate, as well as an amazing amount of visibility from either.
There are several automobile manufacturing facilities in the county, the largest of these being Honda. The Honda facilities are just two miles from the property, and exit #165 is the most direct access to the plants from the west. Honda currently employs 4,600 employees. Also to the north of the Interstate is the railroad, just one mile from the subject property.
To the south of the Interstate only one exit to the east is the Talladega Super Speedway. Races are held at this track twice a year in April and October. These races attract an amazing amount of fans to the area, averaging between 200,000 and 250,000 on each date.
There is also Lake Logan Martin, which is accessible to the north or south of the exit. This is a 17,000 acre lake, and there are many commercial and residential developments throughout the area it covers. Two of these more recent developments are Waterside and Lincoln Harbor. Waterside is a 200 acre high- end condominium community, with 565 units planned in total. Lincoln Harbor is a 160 acre community which began construction in 2006. It has 950 cottage homes and condominiums planned in total. Both of these developments are located approximately 8 miles south of the Embry/Lincoln exit.
Considering the surrounding industry, this is an excellent location. When you add to that the location relative to the Interstate and the visibility this affords the property, this becomes prime commercial property which will not remain on the market for long.
