A Lewes cheese shop in the Riverside Food Hall is up for sale.
Say Cheese is currently on the market for £44,000 after trading in Lewes for 14 years.
The owners of the business have promised that customers will still be able to buy from them in the future but not from the shop in the town centre.
The shop has been advertised on businessesforsale.com and an agent, SBS Commercial, said the owners plan to retire.
A joint statement from David and Eleanor Robins, proprietors of the shop, said: “The retail business operating at Riverside, Lewes, is indeed on the market, but we plan to continue and expand the activities which we have developed over the last 18 years or so.
‘These are the talks, tastings, village markets and specialist fine food events which take up most of our time at the moment.
‘This is not really retirement, just a change of emphasis, with, we anticipate, the wonderful customers we have known in Lewes since 1993 continuing to be served in the manner both we and they would like’
