Gift book wholesaler Powerfresh went into administration on March 10. Three days later it had, according to an email sent by the administrators to a potential buyer, been sold.
According to an advert on the website businessesforsale.com, Daventry-based Powerfresh had assets including stock, office furniture and equipment and goodwill based on its annual turnover in excess of £1.7 million.
The joint administrator, Gary Pettit of Begbies Traynor of Milton Keynes said the business had been sold as a going concern, and no jobs had been lost but he would not supply any information about the situation until after the creditors’ meeting.
