SOLD (Subject to Contract)
Established in 2003, this company’s core skill is the destruction of confidential data on computer hard drives, tapes or other media. Around 30% of sales are derived from the resale of equipment. The company has achieved a range of BSI accreditations, including IS0 27001, and this and other factors represent genuine competitive advantage.
The client list, of 1000+ organisations, is exceptional and includes a number of Government Departments. In January this year the company moved to impressive, purpose-designed, 20,000 sq ft, high-security premises close to the M5 which have now been accredited by the MoD.
Sales in 2003 were £255K and they have increased by more than 50% per annum, breaking £1 million in the last financial year – underlying profitability is already healthy with significant scope for improvement. Recent major contract wins place the company in a strong position to move forward without additional capital. However, the owner wishes to capitalise on its current market advantage and to seize the opportunity created by the media frenzy regarding data security.
In order to accelerate growth, the company is seeking an injection of £350,000 investment capital in return for a minority stake – there may also be an opportunity for the investor to fulfill a part-time advisory role depending on his/her skill set.
