The
Advertising Bike Co(“The ABC”) specialise in the
delivery of mobile billboard advertising using high-impact
advertising bikes.
Through our advertising franchise opportunity, we
are able to offer an exciting, ethical and fun business opportunity
for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working in the outdoors and
who will thrive on the buzz of working within the advertising
industry. We do not demand any prior advertising experience and
despite a common misconception, you do not need to be at the peak
of physical condition to pedal the bikes. However, we are looking
for people who are entrepreneurial, take pride in what they do and
who will be able to effectively communicate “The ABC”
concept to potential advertisers.
The Franchise Opportunity
Uniquely urban and eco-friendly, our
3-wheel advertising bikes carry a large doubled-sided
‘Ad-Pod’, which is designed to hold two distinctive
6-sheet size posters (1800mm x 1200mm). The bikes are visually
powerful both in motion and when parked in a strategic position
– and it is at these scheduled stops when its promotional
rider can handout marketing collateral to members of the
public. By embracing Bluetooth technology, adverts can also
be beamed direct to mobile phones from a box fitted directly inside
the ‘Ad-Pod’. Typically, the rate card for an
advertising bike is £300 per day (extra income streams can be
generated from poster production and Bluetooth advertising).
Our
advertising bikes promote in a fun, eye-catching and intimate way
allowing advertisers to reach their target audiences in a manner
other traditional media channels can only dream of. They are geared
to achieve maximum standout at a variety of high frequency
locations, such as; city/town centres, densely populated pedestrian
zones, retail/business parks, sporting events and transport
stations.
As a franchisee, you will be expected to develop a business within
your local territory using your advertising bike(s) as an
advertising platform; then using your local knowledge, and in
accordance with your clients brief, showcase the bike to
successfully execute an advertising campaign. Your local business
will, from time to time, be complemented by national campaigns that
have been generated centrally by “The ABC”.
“The ABC” franchise can be run
from home. The nature of our proposition means the headaches
associated with many franchise operations are kept to an absolute
minimum.

Year one is very much one person, one bike, as you learn how to
operate the business and build your customer base. Within the first
year, you should expect to generate between 100-150 daily campaigns
(this will include any national campaigns from us should they fall
into your territory). Year Two sees the business take on a new
dimension, as you will be expected to acquire a second advertising
bike and will therefore need to seek the assistance of additional
promotional riders and possibly purchase a van. During this time,
you may choose to ‘pedal’ less as you will find your
time better is served developing the business in a management
capacity. Now with a fleet of two bikes at your disposal, you
should be hitting +200 bike days annually.
Training & Support
To help meet your business goals, our
bespoke training and support programme will be ongoing to cover
technical and marketing/promotional aspects (and we do not
underestimate the value of practical support, such as encouraging a
‘buddy system’ between franchisees). Our detailed
Operations Manual encompasses all aspects of the day-to-day
business operation, guidelines and methods of best practise –
all designed to allow you to talk with authority and pass this
confidence onto your prospective advertisers.
