A well established business that provides professional services, equipment & products (some manufactured by ourselves), to the catering trade. We specilize in and focus on Juices, Smoothies and Frozen Yogurt, but are able to provide wider solutions for our customers. The business operates in the UK and has now opened up markets in Spain and Portugal. The business is growing rapidly, and is operating profitably. We are looking to expand by selling a share of the business to the right person, who will be involved in the day to day running and development of the business.
We have a full prospectus, and this can be sent to interested parties once initial contact has been made, and credentials checked. The prospectus contains sensitive data about the company and cannot be made generally avaialable on this web site.
Years established: 9 Years
Employees: 3
LocationThe business is based in the Midlands, in serviced offices. We subcontract our storage and distribution.
Expansion potentialThe UK and European markets are in their infancy for freshly made smoothies and frozen yogurts, the trend toward healthier lifestyles is going to continue getting stronger, both by choice and legislation, the scope for the business is vast. We have a raft of new product lines and new product ideas that we still need to bring to market.
Competition / MarketHealthy eating need not be boring, and UK consumers are finding out that one of the best ways to get good nutrition is with the additon of Juices, Smoothies and Frozen Yogurt to their diets.
Drinks consultancy Zenith International says the UK smoothie market was worth £69m in 2003 and it forecasts that by 2008 it will have more than doubled to be worth over £150m.
MINTEL finds that over the past five years the smoothies market has enjoyed a real burst of energy, with sales growing by no less than 523% to reach £134 million in 2006. Volumes will almost treble between 2006 and 2011.
These are just the headlines, there are more references available tht give similar views of the market.
The market is not currently well served, and the competition is limited. We consider that we have only one competitor in the Uk who can match our range of services, and even then we have a number of key differentiators, not least of which is our flexibility and dedication to customer service.
Support & trainingThis is an opportunity to acquire a share in this active growing business, so if a deal is done of course a period of training will follow.
Reasons for sellingThe business needs to expand, and we are looking for an investor who will participate fully in the business , bringing the advantages of skills and capital. This is preferred to taking on more employees, or a Venture Capital funding arrangement.
