AmeriStop was founded in 1967. From 1967 to 2000 AmeriStop retail locations were primarily franchisee owned locations with Ohio Valley, AFM as the franchisor. Through acquisitions, the AmeriStop store count has grown from 113 locations in 2000 to 140 in 2004. There are currently 55 company owned locations and 85 franchise owned. AmeriStop operates three different retail formats under the banners of AmeriStop Market, AmeriStop Express, and AmeriStop Express Drive-Thru.
In 2000, Ray Titus opened the first EmbroidMe store in West Palm Beach, Florida, a full-service showroom that combined a wide variety of apparel and promotional items. It was an immediate success. Since then, EmbroidMe has helped more than 420 people open franchise stores– making it possible for thousands of groups and businesses to easily and cost-effectively get the customized apparel they need on either a local or national level.
