Advent Business Sales are pleased to offer to the market this extremely well established specialist collectables centre, which has been trading successfully for the past 10 years.

The current vendor has been in constant ownership since its inception and is reluctantly selling due to retirement.

Cleethorpes collectables is a unique point of sale display facility for privately held memorabilia and items of value which no longer appeal or are required by their owners.

Laid out as it is, with rows of well lit glass fronted cabinets, which have glass shelves. People wishing to sell their goods can rent out space per shelf or per cabinet per month; all items within the rented space are noted down in a book. It is the renter’s responsibility to put a price on their items. As items are sold, the sale is cross referenced and can be claimed by the renter as they request.

The collectable centre does not take any commission from the sale of items but only the cabinet or shelf rental charge which is £800 per annum for each cabinet. Items for sale remain the property of the renter at all times under the signed and agreed contract with the centre.

This system has been successfully running now for the last 10 years and is much loved by those selling various items and also the public, who see fast turnover of offers and a great variety of items to look at and purchase.

Items on sale usually include jewellery, trinkets, porcelain, figurines, collectable toys and model railways, military decorations, glass wear, cigarette cards, some books and even collectable telephones and cameras.

The static and mobile displays in the window of the centre contain at least one piece from each of the renters and are changed at the discretion of the centre.

Over the years, the centre has been noted by newspapers as far a field as Nottingham and Birmingham with free publicity in both write ups and pictures.

Many past customers and ‘browsers’ return time and time again, it must be pointed out that this is not a seasonal business, although summer time visitors doe help to boost sales.
