Expansion potential
Growth and Expansion:
More assertive marketing could acquire an even larger slice of the market and exploit the commercial potential of the business. The company could expand further if it had a sales force (for instance to visit companies), if it could focus on issuing catalogues, and if it could also concentrate more on sales of consumables.
Key Opportunities:
Having achieved exceptional growth over recent years the business has forged an excellent reputation for itself. At present, the company supports a number of businesses, and there is plenty of scope for expansion having secured established relationships that offer plenty of opportunity for further expansion. The company does not sell maintenance contracts at present, so when companies want the security of such a contract, these could be made available in the future.
The company sells a lot of laptop computers to students who are attending universities, a deal could be struck with the Local Education Authorities to supply personal computers and laptop computers to students, colleges, etc. The company could expand further by targeting areas outside its normal operating region, with no support and facilities.
Competition / Market
Other forms of advertising include leaflet drops at the local college and adverts in the local paper.
Support & training
Handover and training will be provided.
Reasons for selling
The company has successfully been brought to its present profitable level of operation, and it is now ready to be passed over so that the business can be taken to its next level.
