Concept: Les domaines qui montent created a dual franchise concept, offering  wine delivery and friendly tables d’hôtes (a meal with the host), which means customers are just as likely to taste the wines at lunchtime as the rest of the day. The wines are chosen from 150 different grape growers, and the tables d’hôtes represents 50% of turnover. For 15 years, Emmanuel de Bodart has been improving the concept and eight franchisees have joined the network in the last few years.  Franchisees can sell their wines in restaurants or cafés in their area. The franchisor tries its best to choose award-winning and other highly-rated wines.   

Profile: Franchisees should love wine, although they do not need to be connoisseurs. In medium-sized towns, business acumen and management skills are required as franchisees have to distribute wines to cafés and restaurants. In big cities, franchisees have to have sales and managerial skills.

Advantages: The concept is both original and profitable. It offers great value for money, especially as 800 referrals are included in the price. These come from middle income groups, companies and professionals.
