Travel?
HarveyWorld Travel is one of the longest
establishedretail travel
franchise agencies in Australia, with the first Harvey World Travel
agency having been opened in May 1951.
Harvey World Travel is the largest retail travel franchise in the
Southern Hemisphere with over 550 offices throughout United
Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Network turnover
is in excess of AUD$1.7 billion.
Harvey World Travel began operations in the United Kingdom in
November 2004, and is the only ABTA bonded Franchise Travel Agency
in the UK.

Financial
Information
The main
fees that you need to pay are:
Applicants as a guide should have at least £50,000 working
capital to invest in a Harvey World Travel Franchise - we can
assist with our associated finance partner.
An Initial Fee of £12,000 plus VAT per office.
A monthly fee is payable of 1.25% on commissionable sales, however
25% of this fee is re-invested into marketing the HWT brand.
In addition to this there is a monthly IT fee for hard & soft
ware applications included in our franchise offering.

Becoming a Franchise
Step 1
- A Harvey World Travel World of Opportunity Brochure is also
available from our Franchise Services Department, should you
require further literature, prior to confirming an
appointment.
- Arrange a no obligation
appointment in order to discuss both your business plans and our
Franchise operation in more detail.
- Complete and return the
Questionnaire and Confidentiality Agreement in advance of your
appointment. This will protect you and provide us with a clear
picture of your plans prior to the appointment.
- Your appointment will take place
at a venue convenient to yourself. Ideally where premises have been
sourced, during this appointment we would like to view your
existing or anticipated premises/area you wish to open your agency
in.
- During this appointment we will
discuss the benefits of becoming a Harvey World Travel franchisee
along with your business plans in greater detail.
- Should you be keen to progress
your plans to the next stage, during your appointment a full
application form will be issued and explained.
Step 2
- Your application form will be passed to our Head of Finance for
approval.
- Following approval a second
appointment, to be held at our Head Quarters will be arranged. We
will also issue you a copy of our Franchise Agreement, prior to the
second appointment. We advise that you take independent advice from
a solicitor, banker and accountant.
- During this appointment we will
answer any further questions you may have and give you the
opportunity to meet the Team at our HQ that support our franchise
network.
- We will discuss and agree the
timescales that we will work towards in you becoming a Harvey World
Travel Franchisee and confirm the assistance available to you with,
staff recruitment and the marketing of your new franchise. We will
also provide you with a link into suppliers who can assist with,
shop fit out, phone systems etc.
Step 3
- The Franchise Agreement is signed and the initial fee of
£12,000 + V.A.T is paid.
- We will then put in place our
Training Schedule and arrange for the installation of Signage,
internal branding and IT included in your joining fee. We will also
submit your branch ABTA application, once the appropriate ABTA
qualified staff have been recruited.
Step 4
- Your Harvey World Travel agency will open and our support will
continue to assist you with the development and success of your
Retail Travel Agency.
