P.L.
Workforce…Staffing solutions for today's logistics
industry
P.L.Workforce is a widely known and respected
specialist driving and industrial staffing franchise business with
nearly twenty years experience in the logistics and distribution
industry.
The
recruitment management franchise built on strong
performance
Our name is derived from the original family
business, Peter Lane Transport, which was established in Bristol in
1964 and developed to become a sizeable fleet operator with over
350 goods vehicles and building an enviable reputation within the
industry.
Today the franchise company remains true to its original aims,
providing temporary / permanent driver and industrial staffing
solutions. Now operating from more than 11 locations throughout the
UK, and with an annual turnover in excess of £10m, the
business serves an expanding customer base of more than 300 leading
companies.

all classes of drivers for many years now. All the drivers

the job in hand and courteous at all times. Keep up the good
work!”

Comprehensive training
Commencing at our HQ in Bristol and moving to your
own office as you commence trading, the training course aims to
prepare you for your role as a P.L. Workforce Franchisee.
At every stage, there is emphasis on the practical rather than the
theoretical, with “hands on” experience at one of our
own offices under the guidance of an experienced trainer. With a
focus on business development, the syllabus includes staff
recruitment procedure and sales & marketing training. Most
importantly, we also provide for you to gain the transport
industry’s key qualifications: Certificates of Professional
Competence (C.P.C.’s), which will equip you to deal
knowledgeably with statutory issues relating to Tachograph
Regulations and the Working Time Directive. You will undoubtedly
become an expert in your field!

What makes
an ideal P.L. Workforce franchisee?
Firstly, background. Experience in the transport industry is not a
requirement - although those with such a career or business
background are most welcome to pursue their interest with us. Most
important is overall management ability and the ambition to develop
a successful and lucrative staffing business.
As to individual attributes, being a good communicator is vital,
with the ability to deal with both employees and customers.
Although P.L.Workforce is essentially office-based, as our
franchisee you will definitely not always be desk bound, regular
visits to fleet operators being all part of the role - which our
training will prepare you for.

Nationwide
franchise opportunities
Although the company already has a network of branches across the
country there are many areas where customers are not situated close
to a P.L.Workforce branch.
It is in these areas, throughout the UK, that
franchises will be granted and provide new franchisees significant
opportunities to grow their franchise management
business.
