About Us
We don’t do cleaning. However, we do supply cleaning and hygiene products to industry through our mobile showrooms operated by our network of franchisees.
Chemex was acquired in March 2006
by three former British Franchise Association (bfa) board members
with over sixty years’ franchising experience between them.
Since then our business has experienced sustained growth and
expansion.
Our Franchise
The Chemex Franchise business model can
be very rewarding if you have drive, determination and ambition. We
understand that people are the driving force behind our business
and that building relationships are of paramount importance.
Our recruitment process is designed to get you talking to some of
our franchisees. You will visit our head office to explore the full
detail of what a Chemex franchise has to offer. We will provide you
with the opportunity to experience the franchise by spending a day
out with one of our franchisees.
Following this process gives you an in depth understanding as to what is involved.
Our Market Place
Most of our product range is aimed at the
cleaning, hygiene and maintenance market. This is one of the
biggest areas of business in the UK, second only to the food
sector. It is estimated that our market place is worth well over
£2bn.
Typical customers will range from hotels, restaurants, care homes,
industrial units, offices, garage and transport, in fact, all types
of business need our products.
Training
Our training of new franchisees starts with a 10 day
residential induction course in our training suite at our offices
in Smethwick in the West Midlands. We have only 2 or 3 new
franchisees on our training courses, as we want to ensure you get
the best possible personal attention from our team of business
development managers.
When you leave the induction course, the period of on-the-job
training starts. Chemex provides 12 days initial training,
one-to-one, in the field. Your Franchise Support Manager will teach
you product knowledge, including what to use where, account opening
techniques, prospecting tips, planning strategy to help you get the
best out of your day, how to plan your area...in fact, all aspects
of running your franchise.
Support
The high quality of support offered by Chemex continues
throughout your business career as a franchisee. Whether it is
advice on how to develop your business into a multi-van operation
or advice on what product to use on a particular application that
is needed, the support will always be there for
you.

The Franchise Package
Our franchise package provides everything you need to start out in
your business life. We include all your personalised stationery, a
complete pack of accessories, clothing, a comprehensive operations
manual, a documented training schedule and an exclusive territory
with a minimum of 8,000 businesses.
Our van showrooms have a 240volt power supply, to power the laptop
computer and printer on board. The computer is pre-loaded with a
bespoke accounts package and is also preloaded with the product
range.
The cost of our franchise is £23,500 plus VAT
Marketing
Our marketing tools include supporting literature to help
our franchisees sell the product range. In addition, we provide
direct mail marketing, website support, a tele-marketing company
providing support in the field and a national accounts manager to
help win business on a national basis.
Prior to your commencement in the field we will have worked together to provide you with the best possible start and launch of your business through marketing initiatives designed to get you off to a flying start.
Territories/Locations
There are approximately 80 franchisees
servicing the whole of the UK. Additionally, there are Master
Franchisees in Eire, Denmark, Belgium, Malta and
Cyprus.
