The business offers a bespoke courier service, focusing on world-class customer service and state-of-the-art technology and is responsible for the safe handling of millions of pounds worth of cargo every day of the year. Our clients' customers are well known High St. banks, building societies and financial groups.
The majority of the turnover is generated from many long-term contracted accounts, invoiced and paid monthly. There is huge potential to expand these existing accounts and to develop new customers.
The present business runs nationally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, transporting time-critical cheques and documents to the banks clearing houses in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. There are currently 22 drivers operating a fleet of vehicles ranging in size from 500cwt up to 7.5 tonne tail lifts. All of these vehicles are fitted with the latest satellite tracking equipment for both security and customer reasons. A detailed report showing the position and route of a specific vehicle is essential when handling both valuable and time-critical cargo.
