The current vendor has been in continuous ownership since its inception and is reluctantly selling due to well established plans to move to the Shetlands to start another Emergency Service in the vicinity.

The business is not and has never been an animal taxi service. The business owns two fully equipped ambulances fitted out for animal response, a small Medi-care vehicle, as well as a rescue boat, again fitted out for animal rescue.

In addition to responding to animal emergencies for the general public, the business is also contracted to its area Police Force to attend incidents where animals are involved, including the handling of dangerous dogs. Furthermore, the business is regularly used by the RSPCA to provide services which are not delivered by the RSPCA due to the specialist facilities required including dagr rescue to other organisations

On many occasions, the business has attended to horses. The business was also featured on Sky TV and Yorkshire TV in the past, when they successfully saved 42 horses from danger due to a burst dam.

The business derives its funding from a number of sources.
• Firstly, through the above mentioned contracts with the Police and RSPCA.
• Secondly, through ‘other’ callout charges.
• Thirdly, through a members monthly payment scheme that entitles the members to receive a priority and free service.
• Fourthly, through the receipt of donations, some of which are raised by attending local functions throughout the year.

All vehicles are signed up with lighting and fitted with ‘sirens’, in compliance with all ambulance requirements.
