The business is starting to recover from the recession in 2010 following the worst year in 2009. The business does about 80% of its work in the Verde Valley/Sedona and 20% in surrounding areas (Flagstaff, Prescott Quad-City, Rim Country). The business enjoys some continued demand even in a poor economy due to the fact that roof repairs often cannot be put off and are less likely to be treated as discretionary spending (especially if covered by insurance). The owner of the Company recently obtained the dealership rights to VersaTube® Building Systems. These are metal buildings and enclosures that are easily erected using the same tools and techniques used by the Company for seamless gutters. The owner also is a dealer for Water Harvesting Company out of Australia. This company manufactures water collection systems. Based on his experience over the last several years, the owner believes that both areas offer potential for business development, although he has not started the process of marketing and sales at this time.

Competition / Market:

Two other seamless gutter competitors operated in the Verde Valley – The Gutter Guys out of Cottonwood and Arizona Seamless Gutters out of Prescott. The Gutter Guys are a small operation like this Company, but Arizona Seamless Gutters is several times larger. Pricing between the companies is currently stable, although this Company puts out bids competitively priced with the other two companies.
