Cartridge World was established in Australia in 1988. With headquarters today based in the USA, we are now a global franchising business with nearly 1700 franchise outlets operating in over 60 countries. In the UK alone we have almost 300 stores, with a over 600 in Europe.

We've also established Master Franchisees in ten European countries, supported by a European Support Team based in Harrogate. Our spectacular growth hasn't gone unrecognized. At the Franchise Marketing Awards 2007 we were named -'Best International Franchise Expansion Programme' by the British Franchise Association.

The most frequent question we're asked about joining our network is,
'How do I know if I have what it takes to be a franchisee?'
The truth is there is no 'typical' franchisee. Our franchisees come from all walks of life and ages. Some have business knowledge gained in other sectors, others have no previous experience.

What they do all have in common is a belief in, and a vision for, a sector that is rapidly expanding. They recognize that with the support of the Cartridge World Franchise brand, the business concept behind them and their willingness to work at building up their business, they have the ability to succeed in this boom industry.

The franchise package

After successfully completing our comprehensive training, the new franchisee will have acquired the necessary technical skills to operate the store. They will also be able to call on a dedicated Business Development Manager who will assist in the launch and provide ongoing business and marketing support.

Cartridge World has good working relationships with all of the high street banks with a view to providing financial support of the franchisee fee. Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest, HSBC and Lloyds have all advanced funds to operating franchisees . Our franchise also qualifies under the Department of Trade & Industries Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme and up to 70% of the bank loan can be secured using this government-backed facility (subject to the loan applicant's status).

A business that offers full training and support

As you would expect of a company with over 20 years experience in the industry, our training is of the highest standard. In fact, our training and support programme is regularly praised by our franchisees .
As a Cartridge World franchisee you'll be supported every step of the way. All new franchisees are offered a fully comprehensive, intensive training course to give them the very best start to their new business. You'll receive training in every aspect of the operation and will receive a detailed business operations manual, as well as comprehensive technical manuals and computer software - everything to help you run the business efficiently and successfully.

Our support does not stop once your store opens for business either. During your first week, a member of the support team from Cartridge World head office will be present to offer help and advice on the refilling and remanufacturing processes. So you can be reassured your operation is running smoothly.

And it doesn't stop there. You can call the support staff at head office in Harrogate if you need to help or guidance at any time.
