This 101Ha farm is situated along the magnificent southern slopes of the Hawekwa Mountains with Wellington as the closest town. The region is particularly recognized for the superb quality vineyards, olives, fruit trees and buchu produced here. The area receives a high winter rainfall. Summers are very hot during the day, cooling off into ideal evenings, ensuring that the grapes can be harvested at optimum ripeness. Deep, loam soil on top of worn granite, which drains well, is found on this farm. Plentiful water is obtained from four dams totalling approximately 200 million litres of water (replenished by mountain streams during the winter rainfall season) together with strong fountains and a borehole. All arable areas are currently utilized (45 hectares – Vines; 12 hectares - Vine-nursery; 7 hectares – Olives; 10 hectares – Buchu.) Modern techniques and implements, highly skilled labourers and established markets ensures high standard farming practices, producing excellent crops. Va
