- Employees:
- ITS Transport offices are designed on a specific team plan. A husband and wife team would be an advantage but not a requirement. There are three main areas of the business operations administration and sales. When starting out one person would handle administration and sales and one would run the fleet and sell as well. Once the development was well under way you would then need an administration person a sales person and two fleet controllers to run around 50 trucks. Depending on how big the owner wanted it to be they then could put on more fleet controllers administration staff or more sales people depending on the outcome we would agree to achieve.
Business description
ITS transport is an experienced systemized operation that enjoys a fabulous reputation in the market. ITS transport have identified exactly what the customer requires and have put together a system that provides the customer with that. The area and range of services means the franchisee is capable of turning over a considerable amount of money and generating not only a massive asset but a fantastic income as well. Franchising this business was not in the original plan however with the help of Franchise Developments we have put together a system that if worked exactly as planned is almost a guaranteed success.

Other information
- Competition / Market:
- ITS Transport believe that there are no real competitors that have their unique way of doing business. There are however many competitors in the same Taxi Truck field. Some of the main competitors are Alavro, Advance, Metro, DSE, Phoenix and a range of smaller competitors like Vision and Platinum. Most courier companies have a Taxi Truck fleet, as do quite a few Interstate transport companies like TNT, Toll and the like. These competitors don’t specialise in Taxi Trucks and therefore are not interested in the same cliental as ITS. Transport in general is a competitive industry and ITS therefore need to be active in our prospecting for business and more importantly the maintenance of our customers once they have started as customers. As competitive as the industry some companies through great training and a recognisable USP have gone on to be extremely successful. LINFOX (you are passing another Fox) McPhee (on time in tact) Comet (when it positively has to be there overnight) We fully expect ITS (Consistently Quicker) to be as recognisable as any of these USP’s
- Support & training:
- ITS is very fussy when it comes to their systems and the new franchisees are expected to engage in several months training at head office before they would be allowed to operate on their own at their chosen location. ITS would identify a potential site of operation with the franchsee and get a phone number for that area and divert it to Kingswood. The new people would need to travel out to Kingswood each day so that ITS can give the franchisee the one to one training they will need to operate within the ITS guidelines. The time frame for this process would vary on the experience of the new owners but would be more than two months and not more than six months. Most likely three months. Once they are trained they would then be relocated to their office and ongoing training would be provided as is agreed to between the new owners and ITS. Some new franchisees prefer to go at it by themselves without much assistance and some require more hands on from the franchisor. ITS is happy to work with either style as the need arises. The minimum input would be one meeting per week to go over the basics, to a maximum of three days per week if there are specific training tasks that the parties are working on.
- Trading hours:
- ITS Transport's operates prodominantly a Monday to Friday business, there are times when the drivers work weekends. however the office is closed. The office would need to be open for business between 6 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday, this is achieved by splitting the staff shifts one early start and one closing
