The business is located in Barcelona, one of the most popular expat cities in Europe. All of our clients are multinationals and expats: only minimal Spanish is needed for this business (I am American -- the business owner). We are recognized as the top firm in our market. Our practice has experienced steady growth, with estimated gross revenues in 2009 of 400k euros. The practice offers a good mix of work: 41% accounting and tax filing for businesses, 17% incorporation, 14% payroll services, 20% legal services (immigration and real estate), 5% virtual office, 3% tax prep for individuals. The majority of revenue is via monthly invoices to a loyal client base. We always charge up front for our services. There is plenty of work available: in the past few years, we have had months where we have had to shut down advertising to keep the work manageable. Even 2009 has been a year of expansion. The practice makes consistent use of technology, using goverment certificates, custom CRM software, website client area, and online/offline databases. Tax prep services can be easily expanded; we have not pursued that market. The team consists of one head accountant (key employee), one corporate lawyer, one native English assistant, one junior accountant, and one of-counsel immigration lawyer. The team is fully trained for our niche market. A business consultant, tax attorney, or CPA would be a perfect fit for this business.
