Koh Phra Thong (Golden Buddha Island) lies just off the mainland between the world famous holiday destinations of Phuket (60 miles south) and Koh Chang (50 miles north). It is one of the last natural, unspoiled paradises on the Andaman. Rich in fauna and flora it is an ecological paradise, home to deer, monkeys, pangolins and otters.

At least 137 species of exotic birds nest on the Island, making it one of the best bird-watching locations in Thailand. Four species of sea turtles nest on the beaches. The Resort is the closest landmass to Richelieu Rock, the most spectacular scuba diving location in Thailand and a world top ten diving site. Friendly whales, dolphins, the very rare dudong (sea cows) and an abundance of other marine life swim offshore.

An excellent road (the Phuket–Ranong highway) runs from Phuket International Airport to Kuraburi in a little over two hours, or from Ranong airport in one hour. GBBR operates as a property management business, providing maintenance and services to Member villas and catering for Members’ needs when they occupy their properties.
