LOCATION (ST14 8QH)
The Village of Kingstone stands in a select and sought after area of rural East Staffordshire popular with those working in the surrounding conurbations. It is an accessible but quiet location just to the South West of Uttoxeter approximately 2 miles from the main A518 Uttoxeter to Stafford road a short drive from the popular Bylthfield Reservoir and Manor Golf Club. The Inn is found easily by taking the A518 Stafford road out of Uttoxeter, turning left at the B5013 and after 1.5 miles following the signs for Kingstone & Blythe. From Stafford the sign for Kingstone & Blythe is reached after about 8 miles on the A518. Manor Golf Club is recognised to one of Staffordshire's hidden gems, a par 71, 6,215 yard long, course set in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, with picturesque views and an abundance of wildlife. The course has been prepared and laid out as a traditional English golf course, which provides a challenge for both low and high handicap golfers alike. The Historic market Town of Uttoxeter's was mentioned in the Domesday Book. Some historians point to pre-Roman settlement here and Bronze Age axes have been discovered in the town. It is possible that Uttoxeter had some form of Roman activity due to its strategic position on the River Dove and closeness to the large garrison forts at Rocester between AD69 and 400, and recently discovered fort at Stramshall. Uttoxeter also saw the last major royalist surrender of the English Civil War, on 25 August 1648. Its racecourse attract pundits from across Europe and is renowned as one of the finest “sticks” courses in the country. The locale is well serviced by schools both in the village, The small Talbot 1st School with circa 40 pupils and by bus to nearby Uttoxeter for middle and senior students. The village has been the home of The earl of Shrewsbury since 1924.

10 / 10
I have visited a few times now; this pub is in a lovely small village very tranquil. Lovely landlords very friendly environment, excepted like a local. The food was unbelievable great price, taste and service, in a very pleasant separate dinning area. Very clean pub, nice beer garden and parking on site always a plus. Poole table, darts, open fires sofa...Everything, absolutely everything
Constructed in 1709 of Staffordshire brick under pitched tiled roofs and is completely detached .The property has been maintained to an exceptional standard irrespective of cost with our clients constantly re-investing in the property. The trading areas curve around a CENTRAL BAR SERVERY with a range of HAND PULLS for REAL ALES comprising of a GAMES ROOM, LOUNGE AREA and LOCALS BAR (40+) having low ceilings, hard floor surfaces and carpeting with as assorted selection of settees, hand crafted timber tables and chairs along with contemporary modern sets, a pleasing blend of modern and period finishes. DINING ROOM (40c) hand crafted robust country kitchen style furnishings set on a quality patterned carpet and central through fireplace. It is impossible to fault the trading areas of this immaculate inn which is complimented by the “back of house” CATERING KITCHENS which has professionally installed S/S extraction fitted, heated S/S “pass” and “all mod cons”. WASH ROOM facilities inc High Standard, Ladies, Gents and Disabled .BEER CELLAR is fully chilled and “roll in” to the ground floor.
OWNERS ACCOMMODATION
The owners accommodation has been invested in uncompromised by cost and is amongst the most comfortable completely modernised that we have seen in many a “country mile”. It comprises of a sparking fully fitted kitchen, DE-LUX bathroom. 2 generous double bedrooms, private lounge, hallway –cum-office and is fully central heated benefiting from its own “front door” private entrance.
EXTERNALS
To the rear is a lawn area with Yew Tree and a fenced off section with storage sheds. The lawn isn’t currently used as such but could with ease be added to the external trading area. The real “pull” comes from the front aspects of the property with a low picket fence, flower tubs and timber picnic sets with “space heaters”. The sun sets over the front of the property so draws those wishing to capture the last of the days rays and warmth and enjoy an Olde English Pub as we like to remember them.
