We currently manufacture compact mobile shelving systems to store and maintain medical, legal, financial and municipal records. Our users include most of the Fortune 500 companies and, under our federal contracts, nearly all branches of government and the military. We distribute through a network of dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
As paper records in general are slowly being replaced by electronic storage we have developed and are selling a unique, patent-pending storage system designed for the huge retail and food service chain store market.
For example, The Mens Wearhouse, where we have a recent installation in their flagship store in the Empire State Building in New York City, has over 1,200 locations. This is just one example of the potential for this product. McDonalds has a mobile storage system in the backroom of most of their 23,000 locations. In New York City alone there are over 60 chain store headquarters with, among them, more than 15,000 locations in the U.S. And just announced: Dunkin’ Brands is opening 27 new locations in Louisiana; CiCi's Pizza will add 500 restaurants over the 8-10 years. In the U.S. and Canada thousands of retail and food service locations are opening every year.
I have passed the age of retirement and though I would enjoy building the business to its multi-million-dollar potential there are other things I would like to do in my “golden years.” But I would be happy to work with new owners and, along with present employees, provide all the training needed. Specific knowledge of manufacturing is not required.
