The goal was to develop a stand alone specialist product in a market that could support the high development costs as well as sustain the value in the market place enabling a good return on investment. The company?s products are now specified by a number of military establishments around the world and have a life cycle of c. 25 years. It is also believed that with the right investment and resource the concept can be developed further into other applications and markets worldwide.

The current shareholders believe that the company has reached a ?step change? where new management and greater resources will allow the business to develop into new markets and grow significantly over the next few years. It is envisaged that post completion that the vendors will remain involved with the business, subject to terms and conditions being agreed, for a further 12 ? 24 months, to allow the smooth transfer of ownership and knowledge to the new management team.
