By ordering uncut stones and perfoming the cutting themselves,they would dramatically increase their profits.There is also a demand from the local kitchen fitters, suppliers and property developers for someone to supply locally, marble worktops, cut to their specific requirements. All that would need to be invested in, is the equipment necessary, to be able to cut stone in their workshop.
