Market / Customer:
Location providers are canvassed by calling gymnasia, health clubs, golf clubs and similar institutions to arrange a meeting or send a self contained information pack. Currently 75% - 80% of appointments go on to sign up as location provider clients. The installation of the hardware is outsourced.
Advertising clients are obtained by scrutiny of Google Maps and the Yellow Pages and calls are made to relevant businesses within a 5 km radius of the location. This sales pitch is a standard presentation and results in a very high success rate.
Trade Debtors for contracts billed but not paid form part of the sale and are included in the asking price. This amounted to $193 250 as at June 30 2011.
Products / Services:
The crux of the business is the location of suitable sites for the display of electronic advertising. The best examples of this are fitness centres, sports clubs, medical centres, golf clubs and business locations. The business provides an interactive noticeboard (flat screen TV) to the client location at no cost to the client, and a program of notices are designed and produced at the requirements of the client. These programs can be updated and changed at the request of the client. In return for this free service to the client, the business sells advertising which is similarly programmed and appears on the TV system.
Premises:
The premises were leased in July 2010 on a two year lease, with an option to renew for a further three years. Rental is $1,550 per month plus outgoings for the roughly 90 sq.mts. occupied. The premises consist of:
