The company manufacture bird food under their own brand name, in their plant in the North East. The feed is wholesaled mainly to pet shops, retailers and pigeon clubs, together with other top branded bird food from Belgium and Holland.They have over 30 different types of food available and sell, small bird seed ,canary seed, linseed, rape seed, niger seed and other accessories including,vitamins, minerals, remedies plus wooden huts, feeding trays etc.

The business has a solid retailer database of over 200 regular, repeat customers with over 100 other clients who also buy from them. They have their own transport and deliver to all areas on a weekly basis.

Equipment

Extensive manufacturing plant is included in the sale of the business. The plant has an external silo, which is fed by a conveyor and elevator for tipping grain etc. The silo has a CIMBRIA cleaner with various screen sizes for different types of feed, which link into twelve internal silos, each holding up to 30 tons of clean material (wheat/maize etc). The silos are all linked via computer to help differentiate the amount of each material necessary for the specific feed type. The quantities of feed go on to a vertical mixer, then transfer to the fully automated bagging plant, which bags, packs & stitches the individual feed type.

There are two fork lift trucks, and two delivery trucks. One is a 26 ton truck and the other is a Daf Artic 4 ton truck with electric tail lift trailer and pallet truck.

Customer Service:

The business deals only with bulk sales of feed with a minimum order of one ton(40 bags). They keep in stock over thirty different types of bird seed and other ancillary bird products.
Delivery to all areas is made within one week of receipt of order and their products are extremely competitive as they are delivering directly from the factory.

Inside the warehouse there is spare capacity and room for a mezzanine floor if required. Outside there is land available for expansion.
