The Business Partnership is pleased to be able to offer for sale, two local monthly magazine titles.

Our client, a successful publishing company, wish to sell 2 local, free, glossy magazine titles from their portfolio, allowing them to focus on their main activity of trade magazines.

The readership for these two magazines is predominantly from the grey market. Content is a mixture of news and nostalgia items largely provided by the readers or local interest groups, free of charge.

Content is a minimum of 50%. Each issue has 30-40% of regular advertisers. Around 30% of advertising is sold forward every issue. Printing and delivery is outsourced and the right owner could cut costs significantly here by bringing the titles 'in house'.

After staff costs, the titles produce an estimated net income of £57,000 p.a. Currently, our client employs a salesperson, a part time journalist and a part time production manager for these titles.

As the publishing company will continue, the titles only are for sale. No premises, or equipment transfers with the sale allowing a new owner to operate from any location, although a virtual local presence would be helpful.
