The salon occupies the ground floor of a three storey building, and the two floors above constitute the living accommodation. This consists of a large open area on the first floor landing which is currently used as a lounge and dining area giving the flat three bedrooms, but it could be a dining room only.

The main room on this floor would then provide a large living room, at present it is a big double bedroom. There is also a good sized kitchen on this floor.

The Salon occupies most of the ground floor, with the beauty room to the rear. There are four stylist chairs and two back wash basins and a nail bar to the front of the salon.

The business has for many years been a conventional ladies hairdressers although men are welcome and it is very well known locally, one of the current owners purchased the business in 2006, but does not work in the salon. The second owner joined the company more recently and works as a stylist, she is responsible for the changes and has established a reasonable turnover in a short period of time but has to sell now for personal reasons.

A second stylist rents a chair for four days a week for £25.00 a day and a self employed beautician contributes a percentage of her takings to the business.

Nail treatment can be provided either by the beautician, or the working owner who is also trained in nail treatment.

Currently the turnover for the working owner averages £500.00 a week and she also benefits from 20% of the beautician’s taking, plus £100.00 a week from the chair rental and has free accommodation. Alternatively the flat could be rented for at least £4,500 a year.

The only overheads are the rent, rates, light & heat, insurance, telephone, credit card charges and a few sundries, so a reasonable income can be earned without further expansion, although the salon is perfect for expanding.
