The area is known for its abundance of championship golf courses including Turnberry to the south and Troon to the north, both of which regularly host the British Open.

- GlenPark Hotel is an historic “B” listed mansion house with a more modern extension on a prominent corner site. It is also situated in a very popular and sought after area of the town, being just a short stroll from the beach and within walking distance of the pedestrianised town centre.
The entrance from the front leads into a reception hallway which in turn gives access to both the bar and the diningroom. The bar is an attractive room with feature bay window, spotlighting and seating by way of comfortable couches, chairs and stools around bar tables. There is also a feature open fireplace adding to the character of the room with a bar servery to one end with gantry behind. There is also a large flat screen TV.
The dining/function room was originally two rooms which have been converted into one larger room. The room can cater for up to 50 covers, is fully carpeted and again has a feature window to the front. Lighting is by ceiling spots and wall lights and there are modern chairs around dining tables.
Due to the style of the room, it can be sub-divided to cater for smaller more intimate parties when required. There is direct access from this room through to the kitchen.
There are 21 letting rooms in total though normally 3 rooms are retained for owners/staff accommodation. The current breakdown offers 11 twin rooms, 7 double rooms, 2 single rooms and one family bedroom. All rooms are individually decorated, have radio alarms, televisions, hair dryers and hospitality trays. They also all have ensuite facilities. Four of the letting bedrooms are contained on the ground floor level making them suitable for guests with disabilities although there is not a designated disabled persons’ room.
There is a well equipped commercial kitchen and other service rooms include a prep room, laundry room, freezer room, dry goods store, staff w.c. etc. There are also well appointed ladies and gents toilet facilities along with a disabled persons toilet servicing the public areas.
To the front and side of the hotel is a guest car park.
