The story of M&M Meat Shops began in 1980 when local Kitchener entrepreneur Mac Voisin made the decision to create a place where people could purchase choice cuts of restaurant-quality meats at grocery store prices. He came across a method of preserving food called flash-freezing. This process freezes food at extremely low temperatures in a matter of seconds, preserving the natural texture, taste, nutrients, and juiciness of foods so that when it's time to cook, the great fresh taste comes through.
As M&M's reputation for quality foods and reasonable prices grew strong, so did the company. Within its second year of business, the first franchise location opened in Cambridge, Ontario and the continued success over the years has lead M&M to open over 465 stores Canada-wide, from the East to West coast and as far North as the Yukon and Northwest Territories, making M&M Meat Shops Canada's largest retail chain of specialty frozen foods.
M&M Meat Shops continues to bring customers hundreds of high-quality products and customer service in a friendly, convenient one-aisle store environment.
