This truly excellent family run business is ideally situated directly opposite a large self catering hotel and apartments and has many repeat customers during their stay. It is also extremely popular with residents.
The property has been extensively renovated by the present owners over the last 2 years, which is a bonus for any new owners as this property is as near as perfect as anyone could wish, in essence a super business both to visit and work from.
The kitchen is situated behind the bar area and is well equipped and “easy to work”. It comprises 1 fridge freezer and 2 upright freezers, oven, griddle, 3 ring hob and 4 microwaves and 3 deep fat fryers, dishwasher, glass washer, coffee machine and grinder, extractor above cooking area. The chef has been with the current owners for the past 4 years and is prepared to stay on should any new owners wish, we think he should!
The L shaped wooden topped bar is equipped with drinks chiller, display fridge, gateau display fridge and a milkshake machine and has a wooden pergola type ceiling as well as mirror backed bottle shelves.
All furniture in the internal seating area is bright and cheerful and comprises 7 tables with 28 chairs, 4 bar stools all of which were purchased new last year.
The property has hot/cold air conditioning which makes dining a pleasure summer and winter. Current opening times of 9am – 10pm closing in the winter (November till March), there is however scope for limited opening hours in the winter if new owners chose to.
Entertainment is provided by 4 TV’s connected to a video recorder, CD player and “sky” system, with sound played through 4 speakers.
The terrace seats 24 persons at 6 tables all with large sun umbrellas. There is a metal security shutter and good signage, the premises has public toilets, a staff shower and W/C and also offers adequate storage in two store rooms.
The locale to the left of the premises is empty and any new owners could take the opportunity to extend into this and at the same time extend the terrace area, offering obvious advantages to increase turnover of this already successful business. Add to this the Locale to the right is a late night bar (Till 3am in the morning) Just extending the opening hours till 1am serving simple snacks to the customers of the late night bar and you would see the revenue increase exponentially!
The current owners are happy to ensure a smooth handover and will introduce new owners to all their suppliers and ensure that new owners are totally conversant with the operation of the business. As they will be staying on the Island they will be available for advice in the formative months.
In our opinion this business is set in a slightly more residential type area, but this in conjunction with the Self Catering Hotel and Apartments makes it the perfect place where those going to the night life and later coming back from to have a full blown meal from the extensive menu or simple snack on the way back!
