Graduates receive a diploma and then are required to take a state barber exam. Topics covered include haircutting, hair styling, hair coloring, shampoo and massage, shaving and shaping salesmanship and equipment care just to name a few. The school trains both stylists and potential entrepreneurs who may someday open their own business. The equipment consists of 13 cutting/styling stations and chairs, 4 shampoo stations and 10 desks. Competition for this school is very limited as there are very, very few licensed barber teaches in the area. A year and a half from now you can apply for accreditation by the Department of Education and your students can get grants to attend the school.
