Business description
The Juniperlea is one of the best known bar restaurants in the Midlothian area. Situated astride the A68 only 15 miles from Edinburgh city centre and on a major route connecting Edinburgh and central Scotland to the Borders and England, the Juniperlea certainly has a lot going for it.
There is a beautiful and modern bar, a more traditional and elegant restaurant for 70 or more, as well as a function room. The business benefits from outstanding spacious service areas and there is also a large owners’ flat which includes 3 bedrooms as well as a lounge, bathroom with one of the bedrooms being ensuite. There is also a beer garden.
The current proprietors have chosen to run the business in a relaxed manner to suit their own personal requirements. However, given the size, facilities and location of the property it is undoubted that new energetic and imaginative owners could build the business substantially.
