Business History
Meridian Business Sales are privileged to offer to the market this outstanding well established 8 bedroom boutique hotel. The business dates back many years and has been in the careful hands of our client for the last 8 years. Since taking ownership our clients have totally renovated the property from a tired 2 star 16 bed roomed hotel to the 5 star 8 bed roomed boutique hotel and interiors retail outlet of today. The business is client run and employs three further staff. As you would expect of an Interior Designer the property now has a true sense of place featuring large spacious rooms that take full advantage of the stunning estuary and mountain views. All rooms feature luxurious high quality fixtures and fittings and also benefit from high specification plumbing and electrical systems. This opportunity has arisen due to the clients wish to concentrate on their retail business, and as a consequence of the high levels of investment, specification, continual product improvement and the inclusion of all fixtures and fittings within the sale price the business is ready to go without any need for further investment. The quality of the product is further reflected in its membership of Mr & Mrs Smith, continual inclusion in the Michelin Guides and further benefits from inclusion in both Red Letter Days & Buyagift. Although currently run as a licensed B&B business the building still has the opportunity and facilites to revert to restaurant and bar operations. The ground floor is currently set up as a guest receprion and lounge together with the retail outlet however, all the necessary infrastructure still remains to allow a number of food and bar options, It is worth noting that Aberdyfi can support all year round restaurant trade.

- Location:
- This award winning 5 star boutique hotel is situated in the highly desirable and picturesque village of Aberdovey which is on the north side of the estuary of the River Dyfi in Gwynedd, on the west coast of Wales. Aberdovey is a very popular seaside resort and tourist attraction, with many returning holidaymakers, especially from the metropolitan areas of England, such as London and the West Midlands, which is less than 100 miles to the east. The town is known as the jewel in the crown of the Snowdonia National Park. The village was founded around the harbour and shipbuilding industry, but is now best known as a seaside resort with a high quality 4 mile beach. The town centre is on the river and seafront, around the original harbour, jetty and beach but it stretches back from the coast and up the steep hillside in the midst of typical Welsh coastal scenery of steep green hills and sheep farms. From junction 10a of the M6 you can be in Aberdovey within 2 hours by travelling on the M54 to Telford, A5 to Shrewsbury, A458 through to Welshpool and then Mallwyd. From there you take the A470 followed by the A489 to Machynlleth and then the A493 brings you along the Dyfi estuary and into Aberdovey.
