In saying that the business still does undertake a fair percentage of commercial/industrial developments (circa 30% overall) within the towns and cities it serves. It has successfully dealt with projects having values up to £8million in the past. The main geographical areas the partnership serves are Staffordshire (including Moorlands), Cheshire, Shropshire and The Midlands.

This business prides itself on providing a very personal level of service. It can provide clients with complete turnkey solutions from initial designs through to final inspection and sign-off. The partnership prides itself on its ability to take on new challenges and deliver clients requirements quickly and effectively.

Key Strengths:

The partners have earned and maintained an impressive base of satisfied clients many of which have been with the architects through many projects. It prefers to work with private companies and individuals – dealing with the actual Client directly - resulting in clearer briefings and faster decision making. The partnership has a real presence in the market and because of this enjoys a healthy pipeline and order book. In many instances they have to be selective on what enquiries they take on such is the demand for their services and expertise.
There are very few similar type practices in the area which is surprising given the amount of land available that is prime for both rural and industrial developments. This bodes well for the future prosperity of the business.

There are no premises associated with this sale. Both partners work from home based offices.

The business has hundreds of historical clients. With some new energy and proactive networking this partnership could easily expand its current operation. The vendors have kept the activity at their current levels through choice.

This business undertakes very little in the way of advertising. It does not have a website but does have a listing within the local yellow pages. By far the biggest and most effective advertisement for this business however is its portfolio of completed projects generating significant word of mouth recommendation as Clients place work as a result of seeing the results of others’ previous commissions.

This is a genuine retirement sale.
Trading hours:
Both partners work within the business as required. A such there are no set hours of business.
Employees:
The two partners work within the business. Both are graduates –One is RIBA Chartered Architect. The other is BA(Hons) Architectural and Interior Design. They also have a pool of sub- contractors and specialists (including structural engineers, ground improvement contractors) they utilise as and when required.
Support & training:
The current owners would be happy to provide full training and support at handover. They would also consider staying on within the business for an agreed period up to 2 years should a new owner require, subject to separate negotiation.
